STORYTIME!
Step in closer little boys and girls and let me share a little story with you.

One year ago today, I was nervous as hell about my little idea.
I rented some studio space to do a weekly practica. My initial goal was to make it consistent.
Consistency was the key.
The first one was going down on March 26th.
It was promising. I think about 16 people showed up. Not too bad for a beginner.
I had bigger plans but they would take time and patience to develop. I felt that I had it in me. I felt Dallas had it too.
Over the course of the next few weeks, I'll be sharing photos and stories behind the scenes from the past year.

Hear ye, hear ye... I come bearing bad news, although I'm sure many of you were already expecting it.

We have to cancel the The Azembora Spring Social & our next Monday Night Kizomba.

We were hoping to go on with the show but there's no avoiding the impact of the coronavirus.

If you bought passes to the Azembora Social, I will be refunding your purchase shortly.

I appreciate your support and passion.

Take care of yourselves and your loved ones. Wash your hands and you @ss. Don't get caught sleeping on all this.

If you feel the least bit under the weather, especially if you have a cough, sneezing, difficulty breathing, please take care of yourself (and others) by following the advice from the CDC:

❶ Stay home.

❷ Wash your hands frequently (As well as you @$$ ... We never miss an opportunity to promote good all-around hygiene…) ❸ Cough or sneeze inside your elbow.

❹ Wear a face mask.

❺ Rest.

We don't charge for our #MondayNightKizomba Socials. They're FREE. This was by design from the beginning.
I knew that I needed to give everyone a consistent place to dance while also
attracting new/curious people that are searching for classes and searching for our community.
To make sure that more and more people find us every month I advertise on Facebook, Instagram, and Youtube pretty aggressively. This obviously costs time & money.
Many of you probably came to us via these ad campaigns. You're welcome.

I knew that if I wanted to grow this community quickly, I had to invest and advertise. It's no accident that we have become one of the fastest-growing communities in the last year. Just ask around.
Seeing the results every 1st and 3rd Monday makes it all worth it.
Although we don't charge, we do take donations from those of you who are PROUD TO PAY.
Many of you see the effort and show your "support" by donating to the movement.
These donations help offset the costs of advertising and content creation. Moving forward I want to buy some equipment such as a mixer, speakers, banners, etc.
